Orange Juice

What’s in orange juice besides orange juice?  Read the labels; you may be surprised. There may be something “fishy” (although healthy) in your juice.  There may also be additives such as calcium, vitamin D, and extra citric acid.  If there’s pulp in it, the juice may be more nutritious because of the flavonoids contained in the pulp.

Squeezing your own orange juice?  Be sure to wash the orange well before cutting it.  Note: your freshly squeezed juice may be tastier, but it has a shorter shelf life than store-bought pasteurized juice.

Can anybody please tell me method for determination of fruit juice on laboratory scale

Hi,

I spoke to one of our food scientists, Karin Allen, PhD and she said

"I’d suggest consulting Sensory Shelf Life Estimation of Food Products by Hough and Food Packaging and Shelf Life: A Practical Guide by Robertson.  I doubt that either of these texts will have testing methodology specific to the whey/juice drink, but at least it will be a starting point."

We hope this helps!
